What are the best text-only subreddits to binge-read when internet's slow??
- Askreddit.
— ManthBleue
- /r/JustNoMIL - Just no, Mother-in-law!
It's a subreddit of people telling horror stories about crazy in-laws. Some of the stories are genuinely upsetting, but incredibly gripping. It's also a fun game to try and identify which storytellers are genuine and stuck with crazy in-laws, and which ones are just as crazy and embellishing to make themselves look better.

— Leathamdavid
- Some of the top posts on r/nosleep are pretty good, but I haven't been to that sub in a very long time. My new favorite thing is to go to a large sub (like askreddit) and scroll down about 4-5 pages from the top posts of all time to see the "almost" top posts that I've probably never read before.
