What was the best concert you ever went to?
- Alice Cooper. The man is freaking \*old\* but you can tell he takes care of himself cause his voice is still in top shape and he puts on a hell of a show.
Plus I was seated front-row center and I got to do a meet-and-greet with him so that helped.

- Siouxsie and the Banshees in 1988. Made two lifelong friends that night.
— elcad
- Brand New with Modern Baseball and The Front Bottoms. Brand New was pretty incredible live.

- I've got 3:
* **Pink Floyd** at the Ohio State Football Stadium in 1994. Easily the most amazing show I've ever been to. During Comfortably Numb they turned out all the lights in the stadium, this silver ball rose up about 50 ft out of a platform in the middle of the field, lights came out of it, and it started spinning slowly. Made it look like the whole stadium was spinning!
* **Metallica** in Toledo Ohio on the very first show of the ...And Justice For All tour in 1987. Back when they were still awesome.
* **Iron Maiden** in Toledo on the Powerslave tour in 1985. Loudest concert I've ever been to, my ears rang for 3 days after that show!

- It was actually Radiohead. I'm not even a huge fan... but I was blown away by their performance.

- Lollapalooza in 1992: Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Jesus and Mary Chain, Ministry and Red Hot Chili Peppers. Also, Ice Cube for some reason.
— jayheadspace
- Weird Al. I saw him at this tiny theatre in 2OO7 or so. He had a few comedy sketches on screen between songs and did a few stand up style jokes scattered throughout. All in all very entertaining

- ACDC. Old boys still got it.
— Jaystings
- Nightwish was probably the best. Just them, no openers and if just felt so personal and that just genuinely looked like they enjoyed what they were doing.
GWAR because it was just insanity.

- Bruce Springsteen. Granted, this was about eight years ago, but he was already pretty old then and put on one of the most energetic shows I've ever seen.

- Led Zeppelin, just over 41 years ago. 11 June 1977 Madison Square Garden. Although not yet driving age, we improvised, adapted and overcame to get from small town Pennsylvania to NYC. Quite the show and the overall experience couldn’t be matched.
Caught a guitar pick from Paul Stanley at a Kiss show but Zeppelin still is the best.

- Ghost. They are my favorite band and they played for almost 3 hours. They put on a good show.

- Korn and Marilyn Manson in Mexico City. Mudvayne opened for them as well. Was in the Olympic stadium which is massive. The energy was awesome and there was lots of stuff getting thrown around. Concerts in Mexico are the best!

- The Foo Fighters last Sunday. It was my birthday as well. Dave Grohl has the most amazing stage persona. It feels like he’s just this guy, you know?

- I am older than most here. 48. Been to lots of rock concerts growing up. Gave up that pain-in-the-ass scene for "old-people" comforts of home.
Then, one day last year, I learned that the band Chicago was in concert at a small venue just 3 hours from our tiny town.
So we went!
OMG - the BEST concert I have ever seen. Like a homage to my up-bringing with mature appreciation for the musical talents of nearly 100% of original members (the "new" lead singer was just as talented).

- Exodus and Suicidal Tendencies opening up for Fuckin Slayer in Denver in 2015. All three bands absolutely THRASHED it, my brother and I rocked the pit all night. Such a great show.
There was a Grateful Dead bar across the street, Slayer fans took it over. Fun times.

- A Day to Remember played a secret concert when they came back to their home town, and held it at the local live stock pavilion (a place where people show cows and horses). Imagine a football stadium, but instead of sitting in bleachers everyone was on the field (which was just a large dirt area.
The show started with 2 hours of strictly local bands, and a huge merch area for them in the back. They all even did meet and greets.
When ADTR went on they played a 32 song set, no breaks. Pyrotechnics, crazy light shows, T shirt cannons. When you first walked into the concert they handed out sombreros to everyone, just because ADTR wanted people to throw them around like frisbees. There were sombreros flying for the full set. At one point they started shooting toilet paper rolls out of the T shirt cannon, so the venue was covered, and people in the crowd would find the rolls to TP the venue. Jeremy (frontman) got into a giant hamster ball and ran across the crowd.
And anyone who brought canned food to be donated locally got free merch. Great night.

- Kiss. Spent all my money on front row center and backstage VIP for my husband's birthday.
[Totally worth it](https://imgur.com/a/TYfiHP3).
