What are the best WW2 movies?
- Bridge on the River Kwai.
— Spam-Monkey
- Das Boot. If you haven't seen it, watch it with subtitles in your native language. The dubbed version sucks.
— Hetzer58
- Saving Private Ryan
— Fall_Bondler
- Band of Brothers. (Not technically a movie, but still. Must watch)

Clearly more people need to see this movie. Richard Burton and Clint Eastwood as British & American spies infiltrating a German castle fortress high up in the Alps. A classic.

- The great escape, almost 3 hours long but easily one my favourite films of all time, has some of the biggest names of the time too: Steve McQueen, Richard Attenborough, Charles Bronson etc.

- Der Untergang.
— InsanePumkinCarver
- Enemy at the Gates is good.
For fun though, I'd go with Inglourious Basterds.

- They're both HBO miniseries, but watch Band of Brothers and The Pacific.
Our grandads were a bunch of tough motherfuckers.

- The Dirty Dozen. Classic! Also, The Guns of Navarone.
