You wake up tomorrow and suddenly your salary is $50,000. How would your life change?

1. I currently have a $0 salary so this is pretty good.

3. As someone who has gone from homeless to this, let me assure you, I would never have believed it myself, but you *will* get used to this. If you ever get here, you will find the sticker shock of going from, "Can I make this $5 last until next Friday?" to "Damn. $1200 a paycheck after taxes and retirement contributions doesn't go that far." Remember to think back on where you were. It helps me a lot sometimes. Also remember if you are here you are very lucky. I sure am.

7. I'd probably have to talk my parents into daily babysitting. This would be a pretty significant paycut for me.

8. Considering I currently make about $12k/year I can say with certainty my quality of life would drastically improve. Fully paying off student loans, $10k nest egg, buying a house, nice new desktop computer. All of this would be doable for me in about 5 years instead of 10+ (assuming there are no medical emergencies). I’d be so god damn happy.
