- Can a book of novellas count? Because *Different Seasons* by Stephen King is amazing. Three of the four novellas were turned into movies.
— smw89 - Heart Of Darkness by Joseph Conrad. It's the book the film Apocalypse Now was based on but instead of soldiers in Vietnam, it's ivory traders in The Congo.
— JonnyDubb - - Animal Farm
- Shooting an Elephant
- Fahrenheit 451
— styalrt - Flowers for Algernon!
— Subtle_Omega - *Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?* by Phillip K. Dick. It's thought-provoking, hilarious and should take less than a week to read (I finished it in a day).
And it's [free online](https://www.larevuedesressources.org/IMG/pdf/dadoes.pdf)!
