What's a skill or hobby that you're dying to get into but have no idea where to start? Redditors familiar to the subject, where do you recommend starting out?

- weight lifting. Plenty of gyms around, school has an after school weights club, but I'm just too shy to join a group of dudes on my own, especially with my limp noodle arms. I also would love someone to go to the gym with me, but I'm too scared to ask any of my friends.
