What boring, mundane activity do you enjoy the most?
- I'm part of an old lady book club. It's not on purpose; I didn't actively seek out an old lady book club, but I saw a poster at the local library a few months ago and thought, 'Hey, that sounds fun!' I've always liked the discussion aspect of it, and I was looking for an opportunity to get out of the house and talk to new people, so I signed up -- not realising that, being held in the middle of a weekday, it *probably* wasn't going to be young urban professionals.
Every time I go, I'm the youngest person there by at least thirty-five years -- and I love it. We talk about the book for ten minutes, and then it's just two hours of old lady chatter. They give me recommendations of stuff that's going on in the local area, and they show me pictures of their grandkids, and they complain -- at length! -- about what a scandal it is that the local parking charges are going up by 10p an hour. There's a biscuit rota, *and I'm on it*.
It's one of those things I can't really explain to people, because it *is* boring; it's not the kind of thing I could bring anyone else to, because they'd probably think I'd lost my damn mind with how much I enjoy it, but it's genuinely one of the highlights of my month. They're all just lovely people, and even though I feel like I'd get a bit stir-crazy if it was much more regular than it is, it's nice to be able to just be part of that for a little while every few weeks.

- I love going to airports. The security part is a bit stressful, but in all, its like my favorite part of going on a trip sometimes. Its the excitement of it, waking up before your neighbors, walking around in a cool looking futuristic looking place, eating snacks, listening to music, watching a bunch of tv on your phone, playing games. Its a lot fun to see what different airports are like, too.

- Eating alone in my car
I find it really amazing to eat alone where nobody is with me, nobody stares or judge you,you will be eating alone in your car

- Cross-stitching. (Shoutout to /r/CrossStitch !)
It's mundane. It's repetitive. It's monotonous.
But I love it. It's like meditation for me.

- Sitting still in silence

- Putting together excel spreadsheets for different things. All my wedding details are put into a set of half a dozen spreadsheets that auto update based on our guest list, with pricing. I loved every minute of putting it together. Same with every other sheet I’ve made.

- Sleeping. Not being conscious and having to put up with existing is actually the best thing ever. I'm pretty sure I would actually kill myself if I wasnt temporarily allowed to die for 9 hours every day.
Edit: Wow. I was not expecting gold. Thanks!
Edit 2: To the redditor who included the note with the gold. Feel free to message me anytime. It's not often I find someone who gets what I have to say on the same level you say you do.

- Re-runs. It's comforting and I can do other things while they are playing since I am not 'worried' I'll miss something.

- Taking a shower. Long day? Stress? Just worked out? None of the above? Just take a shower. Nothing feels better than a nice warm shower
