What is a thing you didn't know you wanted until you knew it existed?

  1. The flooring in houses that heat up during cold weather.

  2. I just learned that there is such a thing as water proof socks. Like, socks that will actually repel water and keep your feet dry. Freakin' awesome.

  3. A heated towel rack, right outside the shower. I put my bathrobe on there, and it's like pulling it out of the dryer before I put it on.

  4. Didn't know I wanted a bidet (future toilet) until I used a friend's. Heated seat? Awesome. Warm water? Even better. Adjustable nozzle? Good for those hard to reach places. Blow dry? It's like having a butler for my butt. Surprised there isn't a button to spritz you with a little perfume on your way out. But seriously, it's pretty awesome.

  5. a bench in my shower. i recently moved into a house with a fucking beautiful shower with two heads and a built in bench. I haven't stood up in the shower (save for washing my ass) in three months. how did i shower standing up before?!

  6. Didn't want a fitbit until I won one in a raffle I didn't even know I was happening.

  7. A blender that starts with a pull start and runs on gasoline.

  8. A heated steering wheel. I don't have one but it's cold enough in Pittsburgh that, as Joe Rogan would say, you just get in your car and scream, "FFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK" until your car heats up.

  9. A remote car starter. I would have never considered it until I got one but it is incredible. On a frozen morning you can stay inside while your car warms up or during a hot day you can cool down your car from the comfort of your air conditioned house. Soo nice.

  10. Those Philips Hue bulbs. I learned about them when looking into devices that can connect to Google Home and have wanted them since. For some reason I have the strongest urge to be able to tell my lights to turn different colors.

  11. Massage from an RMT! I knew massage existed, i booked a few at a local Spa but they weren't certified. The first real massage i got from an actual RMT literally made me feel like i just got laid (no rub n tug) in terms of the stress release. It was so good i'd rather have that feeling again than actual sex. Since then a good friend from school started an RMT business and i'm always able to schedule an appt when I need one! If you have benefits through work I highly recommend it.

  12. This might sound horrible, but a cat with Cerebellar Hypoplasia. I recently adopted a young cat with it, it's non-progressive and makes cats sort of unable to fully cat. She gets clumsy when excited, and rolls her head around like Stevie Wonder. I found out, it's more common then I ever knew! The cats that have it seem to be obnoxiously friendly and sweet. I can't imagine life without her Also, heated car seats

  14. Like a crazy fuzzy nice bath rug. Until you use one you think, "psh, what kinda softy needs a bathroom rug!!!" and then you buy one and NEVER look back.

  15. As a huge David Lynch fan, my girlfriend bought me a stuffed Eraserhead baby plush thing for Christmas. I had never even considered such a thing, but the moment I saw it it became my favorite material object I own. And for comparison sake, I own a car, a large 4K smart TV, and a very comfortable bed, among other wonderful items. None of it compares to plush Eraserhead baby.
