Americans of Reddit, what part of European culture do you wish you had in the US?
- I've spent some time in Europe and they sure do know how to do little outdoor cafes. Pedestrian only cobblestone streets full of good food, cold beer, and rich history. I just have a hard time finding that same atmosphere here in the states.

- Sure wish the American cities weren't so car dependent. European cities are designed with pedestrians in a higher priority

- Better public transportation

- You pay the price on the price tag. None of this mystery sales tax business.

- Long ass vacations. You guys seriously get a month off!?
— lasha1233
- People drinking in the day without it descending into a brawl. This is for continental Europe, not you Britain.
— R680
- Toilet stalls that go to the floor. Why do I have to see some guy sitting on the toilet when I go to the toilet?

- Döner kebab

- Pork pies. Meat pies in general, really. I never had them until I moved to the UK, never saw them in America. Anyone who opens a pork pie shop in the US will probably become a millionaire. They're amazing!

- German driving- ie get out of the left lane if you aren’t passing and higher speed limits
— PSLguzzlingwhore
- The mentality of using public transport. Okay this is not strictly cultural speaking but still. More frequent trains, subways, buses, and trams. After living in the UK for a few years, moving back to find there's only one freaking train a day between Indianapolis and Chicago is unfathomable.

- The fucking metric system.
— VaderBreathing
- I wish we were more laid back about drinking and nudity
