What used to be fun, but got ruined by technology?

  1. Trivia/pubquiz. There's always one douche who's using his smartphone.
    — Kehgals

  2. A whole evening of conversation revolving around an easily verifiable fact.
    — apatheticpartygoer

  3. Arcades, I can play better video games at home now Edit: thanks for the responses. I get that some of you still go to arcades/barcades but the business model has changed and arcades are not nearly as prevalent as they used to be
    — icejordan

  4. Being on vacation and not be nagged or interrupted by someone from work.
    — peargarden

  5. Cheat Codes in video games. Now you have to download shot, go into the game files, ect. What happened to "how do i turn this on?" or "my name is methos"?
    — DM-Hollens-117

  6. Collecting. Travelling around to yard sales, thrift stores, auctions, all to get that one piece you're missing in your collection. Then the sheer euphoria when you get it at a steal. Now you go on eBay, only to have it snatched away by some rich asshole with more money than sense.
    — Kjell_Aronsen

  7. Urban legends.
    — brake_pril

  8. Showing up at people' homes unannounced. Now with cell phones there's no excuse.
    — NomNomDePlume

  9. Summer camp apparently. Parents are too used to have hour by hour updates from their kids and will be sneaking multiple phones in with their kids' bags (need to have a decoy when counselors ask for kids to turn in any phones on the first day of camp), which results in kids getting kicked out of camp when they get caught with the other phones.
