what outdated social norm would you like to see make a return?
- For it to be acceptable and normal to be un-contactable for a while. Mobile phones and social media are useful, yes, but it is amazing how over the space of the last few years everyone is expected to be contactable a at pretty much any time. I went away for a weekend camping and turned my phone off. Told my close friends and family where I was going and they were freaking out about not being able to reach me for two whole days, and when I turned it back on I had about 20 messages and missed calls from various people. Then when you try to explain that you want to be away from your phone / social media etc they look at you as if you have two heads.

- Back in like the 1930s or so, if a lesbian or bisexual woman wanted to make it clear that they were romantically interested in another woman, and not just being friendly and talking like girls do, she'd give her a violet.
