Gamers who prefer SinglePlayer games, Why?

  1. Two reasons mainly.... a) Generally speaking there is more depth (in terms of story and narrative) in a single-player campaign. b) Generally speaking multiplayer gaming requires you to be "good" and to play "routinely", either to get "good enough" in the first place, and/or to properly ~~ferment~~ foment a social circle of other players that you can play with. I just haven't got the spare time to make that level of investment, certainly not routinely / consistently.

  2. Because I hate people and don't want them in my game.

  3. I just wanna do my own thing at my own pace. Maybe some local co op but that's if it exists.

  4. - I suck at video games and I don't want other people getting pissed off at me for holding the team back because of that - My internet isn't great which can make it infuriating when I'm enjoying a game then it starts lagging or the physics engine starts going crazy or whatever because of a lull in the connection - Multiplayer games can die, then I can't play it any more which sucks for a game I really like - Having to rely on other people in the team sucks - It sucks when people disconnect then it's 3v4 or something - I don't really have friends to play with and grouping with randoms sucks - I love the experiences that come from single player games - Probably even more stuff than this

  5. Because I don't enjoy having to socialize while I'm playing a game.

  6. I'm an OCPD story geek. I play video games to relax, not to socialise. I like to play them in my own way, not the way I'm told I should. I like to cheat, save scum, tell my own stories within the game world. I like to be able to pause my games at any point to go and deal with the various crises that come with having small kids around. I have absolutely no interest in playing the way you tell me I'm supposed to. This is my hobby, my pastime, my escape from the drudgery of daily life. Why would I want to turn it into more drudgery??

  7. Because video games are my time to relax and enjoy myself. I have plenty of friends in meatspace, I don't to discuss the finer points of having sex with someone's mom while gaming.

  8. Have you ever interacted with gamers online? fucking scummy assholes almost all the time.

  9. Long story short; people suck.

  10. Gamers who prefer multiplayer games, Why? How do you put up with the average human being from the internet?
