What is the most underrated Videogame you've played, that no one seems to talk about but you love?

- All the top-voted games in this thread are very popular games. That's the problem with threads like this, the actual obscure games don't get upvoted because no one knows what they are.

- Timesplitters series....a PS2 1st person shooter where you can create your own custom maps.
— Nine-Inch-Nipples
- Rise of Nations. It took the play style of Age of Empires but allowed you to progress from cave men up to the space age. Also there were national boarders. Your units had attack and defense bonuses within their own borders. As your power and influence grew so did your borders. A great game.

- Onimusha series. Played all of them except for 4 but still one of my favorite game stories and protagonists of all time.
— Divisixn
- Max Payne 3
Still replaying

- Re-Volt, I still play it on emulators sometimes, and still remember the cheat code to unlock all the cars.

- Road rash <3
— 7h1ru
- Theme Hospital. That game was epic in its own rite.

- *Perfect Dark*, maybe because it was overshadowed by its predecessor *GoldenEye*, or maybe because *Perfect Dark Zero* was terrible, but *Perfect Dark* was one of my favorite games of the N64 era.
— mipadi
- The star wars pod racer game
— drbon
- Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn.
NO. 41 game of all time on Metacritic. It would be higher if you combined all the "Grand Theft Auto 5" entries from different platforms.
For a game that came out 17 years ago, phenomenal story and voice acting. And while the graphics are dated, it doesn't make it unplayable.
