What makes you mad every time you see it?

  1. People leaving their shopping carts in the middle of a parking space in a crowded lot instead of returning them to the collection area.

  2. I really hate people who advocate for the closing down of libraries just because they don't personally use them. Libraries are the definition of something that's a public good, in both cases of the word, where nothing in the private, for-profit sector could ever hope to match it in terms of the service it provides. They're a place where anyone, rich or poor, can go and get a lifetime's worth of entertainment or education *for free*, as long as they promise to be responsible and bring it back when they're finished with it so other people can use it. They're society's great leveller. They're often the first time that little kids get to make a decision for themselves, and start to form their own tastes. They're computer access and reading groups and advice centres and quiet work spaces and free digital content and so, *so* much more than just rooms full of beautiful books. And yet people would see them shut down just to save a vanishingly small percentage of their tax bill every year. Use your local library, people. They're really awesome.

  4. Blaring grammatical errors in advertising. Don't they have people who proofread or something?

  5. Scumbags that don't rerack their weights.

  6. I work in a library and whenever I hear some parent calling something their kid is reading trash or making fun of it, I get really mad. It happens all the time. Your child is interested in reading something and you're checking out Healing Crystals for Dummies which you'll read about 2 pages of and forget about....shut the fuck up. I usually try to counteract that by making a positive comment about what the kid is checking out and saying it looks awesome. Edit: Also parents who get pissed off when their child owes money for a late book. How the fuck are they supposed to return it? That shit is on the parent. There are certain kids whose parents are trash and will scream at them if there are overdues, so I just never say anything and pay the fines for those kids on the sly. One less thing for them to get yelled at about.

  8. People who get ahead by being immoral and pay no consequences. For example, people who speed down the turn lane then cut you off at the last minute so they don't have to wait in traffic to get where you are.

  9. Someone who parks just over or on the line in a crowded parking lot with tiny spaces. The space is there, but there's no way to fit into it without hitting the cars on either side Usually in the closest spots. Usually when I'm trying to get to work on time and now I have to park in Timbuktu because you couldn't be bothered to actually get in the space.
