What is the most important thing you've learned so far?

  1. Just. Move. On. You can't change the past by thinking about it every day. Focus on changing the now, to improve your future as much as possible.
    — LeMemequester

  2. People don't choose to be ugly or pretty, or smart or stupid, but being good or bad is a choice. It's THE choice.
    — Lustrelustre

  3. Maintaining a loving marriage is about learning to speak your SO's love language.
    — kdax52

  4. Mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell.
    — RedVelvetOreo

  5. If you climbed to the top and found that the top didn't make you happy, that's okay. You can repel back down to the base camp you liked most. Money, career, status... it comes at a price, and it's okay if you walk away from a huge paycheck to salvage your own well being.
    — barmaid

  6. Don't be a dick to the person who will handle your food.
    — MMMLG

  7. Never miss a good chance to shutup
    — xcesiv_7

  8. Don't be a dick to anyone. Sometimes there are people who are assholes and you really want to make their lifes misarable, but if you ignore them and move on instead you will find they disappeared in your life pretty quickly.
    — ak47_al123

  9. Just because you gave it everything you had doesn't mean you're going to win/succeed. Failing does not mean you're a failure. It means that you either have to try again or try something else. I am naturally good at almost everything I do, but I know I'll never be able to dunk a basketball on an NBA court. I accept that and instead focus on things I can do.
    — Vlaed

  10. It's not really that important to be "happy" at any given moment. Happiness is just a feeling, an experience, and you're limiting your experience if you don't allow yourself to experience other states of mind. You won't be able to empathize with others. You won't know how to process the feelings.
    — huuaaang

  11. Nothing is more important in life than relationships. Family. Friends. Co workers. Life isn't about making money or getting a house or cars. Sure, those things matter. You need money for food and rent and stuff. But people, people are what matter. No matter how hard it gets, there's always gonna be someone whose willing to help. And if you find yourself lacking such a person, there is a very distant possibility that you didn't work on your relationships. But worry not. The time is ripe. Call that parents. Meet up with your siblings. Hang out with your friends. Life isn't about the dreams. It's about the memories.

  12. That having lots of money won't make me happy, and that having negative money will definitely make me unhappy. Maintaining a level of savings roughly equal to my monthly wage makes me not worry.
    — Jeggasyn

  13. Enjoy to live in solitude most of the time. Cry it out when needed. Move on.
    — Lehot
