Which fictional hero is actually a villain?

  1. Jack, of Jack and the Beanstalk fame. Trespassing, burglary, theft, murder. Happily ever after?
    — gugudan

  2. Crocodile Dundee. Everyone views him as a quirky hero, but in reality he's Australian.

  3. Jimmy Neutron. He always created problems that affected other people and then got the credit for "saving the day" when he fixed them.

  4. How do we know Prof. X isn't a villain? He could be using his unparalleled telepathic powers to trick the world and audience that he is the benevolent hero...I'm on to you.

  5. There's alot of comments that make me feel the need to point out the difference between a Protagonist, which is the main character of a story, and a hero.

  6. Daniel Hillard / Mrs. Doubtfire - on the surface, *Mrs. Doubtfire* appears to be a light-hearted farce about a resourceful dad doing whatever he can to be with his kids, but the more you think about it, he was a charlatan who lied to pretty much everyone including his kids, and then just to be an even shittier parent, had his 2 oldest kids also get in on the lie to keep the ruse going, and just to top things off, proceeded to almost kill the guy dating his ex-wife for the offense of simply being a better person in every conceivable way. Without Robin Williams’ antics, *Mrs. Doubtfire* isn’t a comedy, it’s a horror film.

  7. Glinda, the good witch of the south. She manipulates Dorothy into removing anyone else who has power in Oz leaving herself to rule unchallenged. Edit for clarity: I'm referring specifically to the film.

  8. Goku. The instant he gave Cell a senzu bean he was no better than Vegeta. He treated Cell more as a worthy opponent than a genocidal monster. When Goku was a kid he wasn't afraid to kill bad guys and yet as an adult he lets bad guys get away so he can have a decent sparring partner.

  9. The Prince of Persia. Fucks with time and kills the guardian doing his job.

  10. Nathan Drake from the Uncharted franchise. Dude straight up murders thousands upon thousands of people in pursuit of treasure, but still we all love him.
