What was the worst ending to a film you've watched?

  1. I can't remember what movie it was, possibly [Progeny](http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0167350/). But essentially it was about these women that were abducted by aliens, the aliens made them pregnant, and were trying to make an alien human hybrid. At the end of the movie the woman was finally able to communicate with the aliens and seemed to have convinced them that what they were doing was morally wrong. Then she was returned to Earth, smiled happily and hugged her family. The credits rolled, and as a stinger after the credits, she was abducted again...

  3. A movie you probably haven't heard of, because it was so terrible: *Solar Crisis*. It was a sci-fi special effects masterpiece that ended when the budget ran out. There was an entire subplot involving Charlton Heston that just kind of pointlessly meandered off on its own. The plot -- something about sending a ship into the sun to save humanity? -- well, you get a scene of the ship heading towards the sun before the credits rolled. Does it succeed? Does it fail? How does it succeed? How do people respond? Doesn't matter; budget's used up, ship it!

  4. 1408, depending on which version you see. On its own, the bad ending is just dull and unimaginative. He dies and now his spirit lingers in the room. Lame, but not the worst thing in the world. The problem is, the theatrical version's ending was fantastic. He survives, moves back in with his ex-wife, who says maybe it's time to write about the ordeal. He gets out the tape recorder and plays back the part where their dead daughter was there speaking to him and just looks at her as she realizes it was all real. My brother and I (who had only seen it in theaters) once got into a pretty heated argument with a guy who had only seen a DVD release with the "he dies" ending during a discussion about 10/10 movie endings. We had completely different opinions of the entire movie because of the endings we had seen.

  5. Planet of the Apes 2001. The "Ape Lincoln" statue beyond ruined the otherwise tepid movie.

  6. I think it was called Skyline. UFOs land in downtown LA. There's an epic air battle between nuclear bombers, F-22s, and some monster...ok whatever. And then all of a sudden people start getting their brains sucked out and there's alien-human hybrids. Made no sense and was just completely disturbing for the sake of being disturbing.

  7. The Cure for Wellness. It had a really great ending...then it went on for another half hour which was totally pointless.

  8. Knock Knock. It's about these random girls who show up to this guy's house when his family is away for the weekend, he takes them in so they have cover from the storm, they push him into having sex with them, then they tie him up and torture him. They get away scot-free after ruining his life. (Yes I spoiled it the movie isn't worth your time trust me).

  9. The twist for the film "The Happening" is that at the end, nothing is happening.
