8. Exactly twice and since it's so rare it made my entire day, heck, week. I was grinning like a kid and trust me I never smile. It felt amazing to be told that I was cute/hot because we don't hear it enough tbh and we're expected to be the ones always giving compliments. We have feelings too you know. (Plus, compliments don't have to be part of you pursuing someone or flirting. Sometimes it's just good to say something nice about someone when you notice it.)

9. I actually get this pretty often. It's because I'm friends with a lot of women (went to tiny liberal arts college with mostly female population), and women are really good at doling that shit out to their friends. Whenever I'm with a group of girls (and I'm one of the only guys) and I'm even mildly bummed about something- like I had a bad day at work- one of the girls will always try to cheer me up by telling me that at least I look super fly or my new haircut is great or whatever. Whenever I hear other guys complaining that women never compliment them I'm just like dude, it's because you're not FRIENDS with lots of women.

11. I read that men get complimented rarely and if they ever do they remember it forever, so I asked this question. EDIT: After reading these and confirming my own experience, I sincerely hope some day men will get complimented more often. My relatives and family say I am manly rugged kind of handsome... But that doesn't count. Otherwise My teacher once said I have bad handwriting for a handsome boy. A few of my two sisters' friends think I am handsome. When I finally started talking to girls and made some girl friends in my final years of high school, they called me cute quite a few times. my friend who is one of the more handsome guys once said "Dude you are so handsome!" Also, more recently after I get back into shape, I was told I look even more dashing now. These are some I can quickly recall I have been called handsome, I could list a few more if I really think about it. I have also been directly and indirectly been hinted as being handsome. I don't know though though I don't believe any of them no matter what I try, can't see how I am attractive.
