- Made lists for this today! So here goes:
If you want to watch a **bona fide Christmas Movie**, but you're done with Home Alone and Die Hard, try any one of these, they're all Christmas Movies (yes really):
- Lethal Weapon (Die Hard's Christmas cousin)
- Trading Places (Eddie Murphy when he was still funny)
- In Bruges (!)
- Batman Returns (The Tim Burton one, with Christopher Walken!1!!)
- Gremlins
If you just want to watch **a movie with large quantities of frost and snow**, I'd recommend these:
- The Thing (1982 version, just to be clear.)
- Fargo (you betcha)
- Enemy at the Gates (Ed Harris as evil sniper)
- Snowpiercer (ranks high on the weird-shit-o-meter)
- The Revenant (the one Leo won the Oscar with!)
- The Hateful Eight (that wasn't the stunt guitar ffs!)
- Let The Right One In (Swedish vampires ftw)
- The Day After Tomorrow (a.k.a. overmorrow: heavy snow)
- Misery (a writer with a groupie, sure)
- The Grey (Liam Neeson beats up some wolves)
- A Simple Plan (Billy Bob Thornton in a faux Coen movie)
- Insomnia (Robin Williams as a creep)
- The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (Swedish version = also good)
- On Her Majesty’s Secret Service (Ozzy Bond on skis)
- Groundhog Day (Bill Murray is A God, not THE God)
- The Shining (he was always the caretaker)
— Aznagavartxe
- Scrooged! One of Bill Murray's best performances.
— GeraldBrennan
- The Grinch
— Virtalen
- A Christmas Story
— thatcoydude
- **It’s a Wonderful Life**
Seriously, life can get so cynical and a feel good movie like this is a nice reminder that everyone matters to someone.
