Which franchise has the worst fans?
- Serial Killers. Not talking about those with the morbid fascination, that is understandable. I am talking about the ones that send fan mail to serial killers and want to marry them. Those are some fucked up people to do that.
Edit: A bit unclear to some. I was referring to when they are caught and in prison and people start sending them mail. Sorry about that.

- Most any big Youtuber. Their fans will throw a fit and dog pile anyone who dares to speak ill of their ~~precise~~ precious Youtuber.

- Anime have both good sober lovers and enthusiasts, and unbelievably childish freakos that ruin the reputation of the medium.

- Maybe not as a whole, but now that people start to get to know me and I tell them I haven't seen any Star Wars they basically tell me I have no life.

- Star Wars. First off, I'm a bit obsessed with Star Wars so I consider myself a pretty big fan. That said, if you're the type like me that enjoys all the films in some way or another, you're going to attract a lot of hate.
If you say you like the prequels in front of someone who only likes the original trilogy and/or the Disney films, they'll start listing off reasons why they think the films are objectively bad, they'll talk about how liking the films makes you stupid, and they'll immediately tell you to watch Plinkett's review because it'll make you finally see the light and hate the prequels.
If you say you like the Disney films to someone who only likes the OT and/or the prequels, they'll accuse you of wanting to piss on everything the other movies stood for, wrecking their childhood, and so on.
If you say you like Legends to someone who likes the Disney era, they'll accuse you of liking things that "deserved" to be eradicated.
And God forbid if you name the "wrong" movie as your favorite, because that's the worst sin.
Why can't I just like it all?

- The Walking Dead. My friend made a comment once that explained it all. “It’s like they have Stockholm Syndrome. They’re always like, ‘hey, did you see last week’s episode?’ And when you tell them you don’t watch it, they say ‘oh man, it was terrible, but NEXT week’s episode will be great!’ Every time.”

- Steven Universe. They have a pretty terrible history of infighting, occasionally piling onto one fandom creator and just bombarding them with hatemail and death threats because they don't like their interpretation of a particular character. It's one of the worst gatekeeping fandoms I've ever been exposed to through osmosis. I'm fairly sure that there have been instances of suicide attempts within that fandom which were started when an artist drew a character too thin, or not tall enough, or the wrong shade of pink, and literally hundreds of people formed a mob and began reblogging their entire back catalogue of work and criticising them for every perceived artistic error. I'm not in that fandom at all but their wank is unavoidable.
