How did you notice you got older?

  1. Sometimes when I'd be out partying, I'd look around and see most people looked younger than me, and I'd think, damn, I hope these kids get home safe.

  6. Went to a crowded nightclub and sort of hung out by the bar with a friend. A pretty young girl comes to the bar right next to me and tries to ask the busy bartender for a napkin, but gets ignored. I reach for the napkins across the bar and hand them to her. She goes “thank you very much, sir.” I had been called “sir” before, but that one hurt.

He finished the laps and then dabbed on me. 2: My girlfriend and I noticed that at a house warming party, all of the young people were in the living room and we were in the kitchen with all of their parents.

  12. Age doesn't make me feel old. Life events make me feel old. Like my niece who I remember holding when she was a newborn. Going to her high school graduation made me feel way older than turning 40. Also, getting Christmas lists from your kids and no toys being on the lists.

  13. I ran my first 5k in September. I finished the race and noticed everyone hanging around. Since it was my first race, i didnt know what the post race activities were. After a while they announced that there were going to be awards. After a few announcements i heard my name called and i had no idea why. I went to the podium and got a medal. I asked what it was for and the woman said, "you came first in the Masters Division.". Again, my first ever real race, so i asked, "What is the Masters Division?". She said, " YOU'RE OVER 40". Ouch. Well, to double whammy that - i walked away agter the ceremony feeling pretty good about myself. I stood at a corner waiting to cross the street and a woman came up and said, "its a shame todays race wasnt too crowded..all the good runners are not running today to save themselves up for the 9-11 charity runs."
