Redditors who film concerts on their phones, why?

1. My ex-husband used to film way too much and it was because he had this belief that he could live moments twice. Once IRL and after in memory. He never watched those tapes, but maybe someday he will.

5. I'd never do a whole concert, but I often do a particular song or part of a song that I really like. Quality may not be the best, but it's a good way to relive the experience later or share it with those who weren't able to attend. And not just the sound, often the stage effects can be worth capturing on video as well.

6. I usually take a fair amount of photos and videos for like the first song until I have a few good quality ones. Then I put my phone away and just enjoy the rest of the show. I might take a brief video if it’s a song I know somebody else likes.

7. I waited my whole life to see someone in concert and when I finally got to see him I recorded most of it on my phone so I could look back on it and smile all over again. However, I just held my phone so it wasn’t blocking anyone else’s view and I wasn’t looking through it except to check it once in a while. I enjoyed the concert just like any other, I didn’t experience it through my phone that night. You can actually hear me crying with happiness in the videos over getting to go to the concert lol.

8. I film a few seconds of it for memories. Later when I'm going though my pictures I'll stumble upon a short video of the concert and it refreshes my memory and takes me back to the moment.
