What's a small detail in movies/TV that pisses you off?
- Tying a rope around your waist isn't going to save you if you fall. It's either gonna break your back, crush your internal organs, or both.

- Random thing but excessive sound effects for pouring liquid. Like, someone pours a glass of water and it’s like a waterfall. Always brings me out of the moment.
— WarwickshireBear
- When people don't look both ways before crossing the street. It happened ALL THE TIME in Desperate Housewives and I kept waiting for one of those bitches to get plowed down by a car.
— BishSaidWut
- Sex scenes. Lets just wrap ourselves back up in the blanket after we make a mess.

- Especially annoying in crime shows like Law and Order.
Telephone conversations happen in 2 seconds flat. Like I get that they don't need to chat about their day but seriously. One of the detectives will pick up a phone, and say "where" and then close the phone. They then have the audacity to turn to their partner and say "That was Dr. WhoGivesAFck, she said that the man was not murdered in the fashion previously believed, she found a tiny bruise on his upper left shoulder after doing some follow up analysis, indicating an injection of some sort, we must now go to Central Park and search for the child underneath the 3rd park bench."
— OJCheezit
- Shaved legs and armpits in apocalypse scenarios like The Walking Dead.
— 25chances
- How bad a shot the bad guys are.
— flipping_birds
- When they don't watch the damn road while driving.
— hello_friend_
- Hacking, when they just rapidly press keys on their keyboard and techowizardy happens, even worse when 2 people both do the same thing on the same keyboard.
— Azmerith
- When people are talking on a cell phone and the screen is still lit up while it's against their ear.
— dmc32986
- When an orchestra is playing and the music doesn’t match up with the bow movements...it’s really dumb but it pisses me off.
— smashasaurusrex
- Someone is falling to their obvious doom, but grabs something or gets caught just a few feet off the ground, which magically cancels out their inertia and results in no injuries.
— psmylie
- Firstnames for French characters that are so old that the character might be the only guy in his early 20s named René or Jean-Claude. (okay not the only one, but it's unusual, now, and would stand out)
I mean, how hard is it to look up "most popular name in France in [insert here likely birth year of your character]" on Google? 5 seconds. That's what it took me. (And yes, I made my research in english).
I mean you don't have to take the top ones, but within the Top 50 should be good and wouldn't seem weird at all.

- "Let's walk two steps away from the crowd and have a 'private' conversation that they *definitely* can't overhear from *two. steps. away.*"
— dr239
- Every time we see a classroom scene, the bell rings at what appears to be a ridiculously early time in the class, usually interrupting the scene just because. Why there was this one movie where ****riinnnnggg*** okay class, that paper on Hamlet is due tomorrow at noon, no exceptions!
— Dazmorg
- Anytime a situation can easily be solved ny a quick explanation, but for some reason they just stay quiet and let the person misunderstand.
