Non Americans of Reddit, what is the most American thing you have done?

  1. Was at a house party and everybody is wasted, somebody orders chicken from a place called USA chicken, one dude grabs the menu off of the guy when he's ordering on the phone and holds it about his head screaming 'USA USA USA....' About 50 people start shouting USA USA USA USA. Was hilarious considering we were all British.

  2. I was living in South Korea and my Korean friend took me the the opening of Costco there. He wanted to go right to the dining/food area and he ordered a massive slice of pizza and a giant cola. I can't remember the price, but it was pretty cheap. He then takes a bite of the pizza and takes a sip of the cola and goes, "Ahhh! This is what America must be like."

  3. I'm a Canadian, so take this with a grain of salt. Whenever the Monster Trucks come here, we go, get pissed drunk on cheap beer and wear jean jackets as well as American flag bandannas. I also have a sleeveless shirt with an Eagle on the front that I wear underneath. I feel so free and American when I dress like that. The irony though is that people here dress like that all the time.

  4. Played in a marching band in high school, didn't know that was a USA thing. Had a guy from Canada at one of the football games just enamored by it. Another foreign exchange student was having a riot bc he had no clue we marched in funny looking uniforms to what he called old war tunes, even though they're pop songs arranged for a marching band. Edit: some more context

  5. Chanted 'U-S-A, U-S-A...' holding a beer in one hand and a hotdog in the other while fighter jets of some kind flew across the stadium at Wrestlemania 33... Felt the freedom in that moment... Fuck yeah...

  10. Got mad at a friend for not liking root beer Edit: I was 10 and followed it by emphatically saying “that’s unAmerican!”

  11. I do American shit every Sunday. I sit in my underwear, watch NFL for hours, eat delicious unhealthy food and drink beer. Gotta admit I mostly stick to European beers.

  12. I was staying at a hostel in London and was talking to this guy from Ethiopia that was living in England. He spoke very limited english. But I showed him American Football. He kept asking me what life is like there. We got along well despite the language barrier. He stands up quick and said "stay here!". He runs out. He comes back 10 minutes later with a 12 pack of hot dogs and some craft beer from Colorado. I laughed my ass off but it was a nice gesture. I think that was the most American thing he's done.
