What is one job you believe robots could never replace?
- Wherever we *want* a human, even though AI could theoretically do everything we can one day. I’ve seen examples here of therapist, musician, artist, etc and I think from a completely unemotional standpoint that one day AI could provide all of these services. However some people would still want to have an actual person doing these things. An album written by a human would almost be a luxury or collector’s item in a sea of artificial music. Plenty of people would still want to see a human therapist, even if AI could do the same thing. Even now we pay more for hand made goods, even though the quality of machined products can be just as good if not better in some cases.
We will be just like horses. We don’t really need horses anymore, but we keep them around because we want to.

- Professional athlete - unless it’s in an all-robot league, I don’t think we’ll ever see robots competing directly against humans, and I don’t think we’ll ever live in a world where humans don’t play professional sports.

- Politician. They would come up with all possible excuses saying a machine can't do their job in spite of AI being most likely more qualified and unbiased to fit the position.

- Sex worker? They could probably get the job done, but until I'm banging Dolores from Ww I'm gonna pass.
E: okay. We all know sex dolls exist. We all know there are even establishments where you can pay to fuck them. Read my comment twice & then realize that is not what I'm talking about. This question is about robots & my example refers to type of robots like you'd see in west world. When you cannot tell if you're knocking boots with a robot or human; that is when robots could perhaps take over the job from humans.

- I think, given enough time, a particularly sophisticated AI could replace any job. That said, it's going to take a long time before bots take over therapist and other jobs that require a lot of emotional intelligence.

- Childcare. Children need human touch and nurturing from empathetic caregivers. You just can't fake that, that's why unenthusiastic or uninvested parents hire people to do it for them.
