[Serious]What scares you about society that no one is talking about?
- That it is becoming increasingly easier to ruin a persons entire life through mob mentality.

- How the combination of AI and software's rapidly improving capabilities to fake audio and video will mean that within a decade, nothing we read, see, or hear, in any medium, could be taken at face value.
Every video of a politician or of a newsworthy event will have the same reliability as a Facebook post or Wikipedia entry.

- overfishing. At this rate most fish that we eat will be extinct by 2050, the evidence is undeniable and no one listens to the laws about them.

- That we all all leaving an online trail. Every dumb thing that we have done or said or typed online can all be tracked in the future...

- That so many people *(of all ages)* voluntarily and intentionally give away their privacy.

- Turning politics into a team sport. If an elected representative does something wrong they should be called out and held accountable, regardless of party association.
Edit: I don't know if I should change the last word from association to affiliation, I have elected to do nothing about it.

- That people now have to be accessible 24/7 ("you've got a phone in your pocket - why aren't you picking up off shift?"). My time is my time, and its bizarre how people expect (demand) you to immediately answer texts, emails, calls, and social media messages/replies. No-one talks about how weird and entitled and disturbing that is, and I'm not a technophobe by any means.

- Littering and the ocean. People dont realize how valuable the ocean is, how much oxygen it creates for us, how much trash is in it, and how the animals are dyimg because of us.
I cant fucking stand people that litter, unless someone else is "mommy" and picks up after your stupid ass, it goes straight to the ocean.

- People are giving up their rights for the illusion of safety. I started noticing during 9/11 but I’m sure it’s been going on forever. It’s at the point that we know that the government spies on its citizens but no one cares.

- Credit scores. Pretty much mandatory if you want a loan. Employers, landlords, banks, and others check this and use it in their decisions. If you don't like taking loans or using credit cards, you're screwed. If you made some bad financial decisions a long time ago, you're screwed. And this is all controlled by three giant companies. Three companies that can ruin society if they wanted to.

- The defunding of the library network. Libraries are a vital public service, especially for the poor, but they're seen as an easy target for politicians who want to tighten up their budgets in favour of tax cuts for the few. Yes, they should be run as efficiently as possible, but they're an absolute lifesaver for a lot of people, and it would be a tragedy to see such a longstanding idea run into the ground.
Use your local library, folks. You'll miss it when it's gone.

- Tribalism. The either you're with us or against the us mentality.
