How many of you still read / prefer physical books vs ebooks?

2. I used to scoff at e-books but am now a total convert. I read so much more since I made the transition. It's so effortless and I can get any book I want, whenever I want it. I will still buy a paper copy if I really enjoyed it, though.

3. I do. I see the benefits of ebooks, you can have hundreds of books in a single app, but turning a page is very satisfying. And easier on my eyes..

4. I like the feel of holding a real book and the way it smells, and I like to display them on shelves as trophies of worlds conquered.

5. I definitely prefer physical books when I am home. But when travelling or at work, my Kindle is a godsend. I wish physical books came with a code for the digital version though!

8. I prefer ebooks. I can look up words I don't know. I can carry as many as I want. I can get tons of public domain books for free. I can read at night with the light off. I can read as a passenger in a car at night without disturbing the driver. I can also borrow them from the library without leaving home. After I got my first ereader, there was one time that my mom loaned me a number of paper versions of books I had been meaning to read. A few months later, I realized I was never going to get around to them as paper books, so I returned them and got the ebook instead. The only downside is that I find them somewhat harder to annotate. :( I wish I liked audiobooks, because I have more time to listen than read, but I have far worse retention for audio than text.

9. I’m part of the 1% who prefers my kindle. I have always been an avid reader but once I switched to my kindle I got hooked. I can store all my books on it with room for thousands. The books are so cheap and you can get them for free if you are sneaky and torrent the. When I go on holiday I don’t have to choose one or two books- instead I just take my whole library with me ( taking up less space in my suitcase too). Yes real books are good too but I just love my ebooks.
