Redditors who watch the "bonus content", which deleted scene do you think really should have been left in the movie?
- The scenes with the Dursleys in *Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part I*. Sure, film-Dursleys had much less presence overall compared to book-Dursleys, but they should have had their final scenes, especially seeing how great they are. The two scenes might actually be my favourites to include the Dursleys in any of the books, and then they just leave them on the cutting room floor. Especially Dudley deserved his moment with Harry.

- There's a deleted scene in Revenge of the Sith where Obi-Wan and Yoda run into some clones disguised as Jedi in the Jedi Temple and get attacked.
The weird thing is that the Lego Star Wars game actually made an entire level around this scene, without realizing it would be deleted in the final cut since the game came out before the movie.

- In Aliens, the scene where Ripley learns her daughter died of old age while she was lost in space for 56 years. It makes Ripley's decision to go back for Newt make sense rather than just standard action movie hero trope.

- Alternate/original ending to **"I Am Legend"**.
It ties it way better to the book, and just makes a better movie.

- In the Avengers, when Banner falls through the building and is talking to the old security guard, the guard asks something like "are you a big feller who gets small or are you a small guy who gets big?"
And Banner answers that to be honest, he doesn't really know. Really powerful character moment that would've been great for the movie

- Don't know if it was actually a deleted scene but the scene in The Lost World where the raptors killed the crew of the ship carrying the T Rex.

- Dodgeball, the alternate ending where they lose.

- In Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End, there is a scene between Jack and Cutler beckett that was heavily cut back, where Jack discusses how he got the P on his arm. It explains the history between them that goes back a good number of years, how Jack saved a number of African Slaves from the East India Trading Company and how the Black Pearl was originally sunk by Beckett before Davey Jones raised it from the depths.

- The student news segment in Spiderman Homecoming. The editing is so (purposefuly) bad that it's hilarious. Though I can see why it was left out

- In the lord of the rings extended editions some come to mind:
* The sackville bagginses scene in the tent at the party.
It shows how tired Bilbo is tired of not only life in the shire but also shows him as a still immature man who can be selfish but ultimately cares for frodo and those who truly care for him as he is.
* The green dragon pub scene.
It adds context to the lives of the hobbits and shows their lives before they become affected by the ring and the war for it. And the rumors swirling around their area of the world. As well as hinting at the romance between Samwise and Rosie.
* Strider's song scene.
I wouldn't say this scene is *absolutely essential but pads out the character of Aragon and makes him more than just a protector of the hobbits.
* The scene of leaving rivendell.
It shows the uncertainty of the journey ahead of the characters and frodo's uncertainty of taking a position of leadership.
* The mithril scene in moria
It not only foreshadows to Frodo's having the mithril but speaks of the worth of it, and the fact that Bilbo's simply had these treasures lying around.
Also the reference to Thorin Oakenshield speaks to the world at large and hints at Bilbo's previous adventures in 'The Hobbit'. I can see why this was taken out though. There was no hobbit movie out and it therefore wasn't relevant, as neither is Bilbo's story in this. All you need to know is that he had the time for a long time.
* Lembas bread
This scene should've been in there, if only for the reason to explain the fact that they eat tiny bits of lembas bread later on. Really.
* The gifts scene.
The gifts given here haven a minor effect on the films but add to the character of Gimli in his humility towards the elves after such pride and hostility towards them earlier in the film.
Plus it expands on the characters more and what’s important to them. As well as showing where they got the stuff from..
